We offer manual spinal manipulation which is a method of mobilizing the joints in order to increase motion and decrease pain.
If a patient prefers or is a better candidate for instrument-assisted adjusting, we do offer both activator and impulse adjusting. These methods do not have any "popping" of the joint for those who may be nervous about traditional manual adjustments and they do deliver similar results.
In addition to the adjustment, we will often find tight or painful muscles in the same area of pain. This gives the patient the benefit of working on both the joint and muscle of the area of injury, increasing chances for positive results in the area of concern.
We have a licensed massage therapist on staff that offers massages in 30 minute increments. Paired with an adjustment, this service is very helpful in relaxing tension and stiffness. The massage therapist also offers cupping in her 30 minute sessions.
SoftWave is a therapy device that utilizes revolutionary shockwave technology to turn on the healing process in an area of injury. It is a drug-free alternative to surgery and injections and rebuilds damaged tissue while decreasing inflammation and pain in both short term and long term.
Also known as "scraping", this method utilizes a stainless steel tool that helps break up adhesions and tightness in the muscle of concern.
Dry needling is a method that utilizes acupuncture-like needles. Trigger points are identified and needles are inserted as a method to relax tension.
Kinesiotaping is a type of tape that has one-sided adhesive on an elastic-like fabric. The taping can help reduce tension and increase blood flow in an area of concern as well as influence the body's movement patterns while it is applied. This can temporarily relieve provoking movement patterns when the body is in an acute injury.
